Pot board to roll out rules on cafes, door-to-door delivery in new year – Boston Herald

Cannabis Control Commission Chairman Steven Hoffman said regulations for recreational pot delivery and marijuana use at bars or cafes will be approved by late spring, prompting cheers from pro-pot activists who say legal weed has suffered from a sluggish rollout.“This will provide a big boost to an industry that’s still struggling to find its footing,” said Jim Borghesani, a recreational pot advocate who campaigned to legalize weed in 2016. The five-member commission just started approving adult-use retail licenses last month.Commissioners are expected to hammer out delivery and pot bar regulations early next year and finalize them by June, Hoffman told Boston Herald Radio. Businesses can then prepare for the recreational delivery or social consumption licensing process.
