Cannabis Control Commission Law Suit
The law firm of Gersten Saltman PLLC is representing us to take legal action against the Cannabis Control Commission in regards to reviewing Host Community Agreements when issuing licenses for cannabis businesses.
We will keep you updated with course of action as details become available.
The infused tasting MGAC did at The Summit Lounge, and several other trips to Summit, were meant to educate people on the Cannabis Advisory Board's (CAB) working group on what social consumption would look like, minus the retail aspect.
Thanks to the Summit Lounge and Kyle Moon for allowing us the opportunity. It would not have been possible without him, and it definitely made a positive impact on the CAB members.
MGAC held a meeting with the City of Worcester, the DCU management, Commissioners Title and Flanagan, NECANN and The Harvest Cup at a round table to discuss what an event license would look like.
Flanagan was a solid no vote when they voted on this early in spring. When she left this meeting, she said "I'd be okay with doing something like this at the DCU Center..." The last vote lost 3-2. We only needed to turn one, and I think we got it.
We wrote draft regulations based on the notes from that meeting, and have submitted them. Basically, an event license would allow social consumption and cannabis sales by licensed retailers at a festival, trade show, concert, or other such event.
MGAC is working on draft regulations for Delivery Services, and talked to CAB members on the matter. We need to do more work. If you've been involved in a delivery service, Peter Bernard would love to hear from you at email@example.com.
